Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart. - Steve Jobs

Congratulations!

I can't believe it's really happening. Jake's last day of school is tomorrow. He will officially have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science on September 19th, 2008. Dad treated us to wonderful celebration at the Olive Garden on Wednesday. I am so proud of Jake & so grateful for all the support that we have received from our family & friends throughout this experience.

Jon & Desi gave Jake an awesome graduation present. It was skull cup full of candy, bling, & topped off with a giant pink bow.

Jenny, Jeff, & Maren traveled all the way down from Logan to celebrate with us.

The entertainment for the night was provided by Angelica White.

Summer Fun

This summer has been so busy, but we managed to get in a few adventures. Jake's parents were really wonderful & arranged for us to go down the Green River from Flaming Gorge. The river was really calm, but the boys managed to keep the momentum going by throwing each other into the ice cold water. We went down with Keith, Sharee, Greg, & Mike.
We brought a long a little inflatable kyak. Jake & I decided to try & fit in it together. We managed to slam into a couple of giant rocks backwards before we figured out how to paddle together.

Dave & Debbie put together a little hot dog roast for us to enjoy up Millcreek Canyon. Gelica had a blast roasting her hot dog in the fire & spoting things in the dark with her flash light. She woud turn on the light, gasp and say "I found something." All too often that something was somebody's eyeballs, but we were happy to sacrifice our eye sight as she had a pretty good time making us all go blind.
