Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart. - Steve Jobs

The Eltons Visit The Garner's

We were so happy to score some time the Elton family before the White family reunion. We got to keep them all to ourselves. Muhahahaha!

Liam enjoyed his time wearing Jake's motorcycle helmet & pulling our garden wagon around. He told Jake "I liked your old house better. It was more fun." We can't really figure that one out since our old house didn't have a yard or anywhere to play. Perhaps it is the nostalgia of it.

Serious business.

Liam found a baby snake taking a stroll in our grass.

He had it for a snack. ;-)

Anna enjoyed stirring the pond water & letting the fish suck on her fingers.

The men being manly.

Eric exploring the great frontier.

Liam has loved Jake's motorcyle helmet since he was 6 months old. When he started walking he would put it on & try to walk around. The weight usually sent him reeling backwards to the floor, but he loved it.

The Eltons greeting baby Seth for the first time.

Ah. The life of a growing baby. I wish I could sleep that well.

We spent a day at the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point.

It was scary.

Eric found a pet.

Anna found many pets to share.

I was pretty much terrified the whole time.

O.k. Here's my fun with photoshop. (Oops! Looks like I didn't finish this picture. )

I needed a wind machine to give myself some action hair.

I wouldn't want to be this guy.

Not sure I'd want to be him either. He's trying to take a Woolly Mammoth out with a rock Good luck with that.

One of Liam's favorite. Megalodon!

Afterwards we went to the Mayan for some yummy dinner & high diving.

Yes. This guy is hanging from the ceiling. He also hung from the ceiling just by his toes.

Family Reunion

My pics are pretty similiar to everybody elses. Here they are in case you want to check them out.

Junge Beat Confirmed

Jake is channeling Axel Rose is this pic. I love listening to him play the guitar.

Can I just say that I think my husband is so sexy! I love him so much and feel like the luckiest girl in the world. It's amazing when you find someone that knows exactly who you are and still loves you anyway.

Gelica and Jake have been bonding through some guitar playing and singing. She has amazing musicality. She crescendo's when Jake does, intensifies when he does, stops on cue when he does, & adapts her lyrics to the tone & melody of the guitar.

A drummer is born.

Presenting......"Scary Forest."

Gelica busted out this little number out of the blue one day. She made up the lyrics on spot. If you listen closely you can hear lyrics about a scary forest & monsters chasing her. At one point she sings "Help!"

Impromptu lyrics sang by Angelica White. Accompanied by Jake Garner. Titled by Angelica White

Summer Activities

Keith and Cherie bought a boat this summer. We got to score a ride with them and enjoy a beautiful afternoon at Willard Bay.

Keith & Cherie both rocked it at wake boarding. We even got to see some tricks. Jake tried out wake skating and liked that.

There were some pretty awesome biffs all around. Keith was thrown off the wake skate & did a little roadrunner movement in the air with his feet. It was awesome. Cherie got slapped pretty hard in the face & Jake pretty much drank his fill of water for the next month.

We were all pretty tired at the end of the day. None more then Jayda who stuck out all of the activity like a champ. She really likes when the boat is going fast fast fast.

Cherie & Keith have been really awesome this summer and have let us tag along when they go rock climbing. They are awesome at it. If it wasn't for Keith & Cherie, we seriously would have had no life this summer. Thanks guys!

My second attempt at out door rock climbing. Biggest fear = putting my fingers onto a crevice with a spider. Uck!

We took Gelica to spend some time with her before she moved. She did really great & told us "When I get a little bit taller, I will rock climb with the rope."

And the rock climbing award goes to........

Our only other summer activity has been working outside. It was so fun when the flowers on the lilies started blooming.

We get a couple of small pink flowers each day that are very pretty.

The giant yellow flowers are my favorite. They are about the size of a large soft ball. We only get 1-2 flowers every couple of days.

The Summer of Babies

It is baby madness around here. If you look back at my pics through winter, you will see pregnant women in all of the party shots. Now all of our parties of full of babies, nursing, crying, & diapers.

Featured is: Desie & Seth, Cherie & Ryan, Annie & Jayda - Cherie & Annie's babies are mixed up.

We scored Jayda for a night. She liked the fish, but she was more interested in putting them in her mouth then feeding them.

I made her a little do-rag so we could be twins.

She was pretty patient with me while I tried all of my headbands on her. She needs some legs warmers to go with that headband. "She's a maniac, maniac, on the floor. And she's dancing like she's never danced before."

Busted.

Jon likes to hike Seth's pants up to his arm pits. I would cry too if I thought my pants were going to swallow me alive. ;-)

For the Love of Rock Band

Jon brought over his new stage kit he got for his birthday for Rock Band. Pretty much the coolest thing ever. Smoke, stage lights, the works.
Jake's brother Mike came to hang with us for the weekend. We loved having him.

Jake was born to be a rock star.

Jon twirling his sticks.

And you wonder why I love my husband
(This is a little hard to see but still worth it. It gets lighter as it goes on.)

Live wElle 5k

Live wElle is a foundation that raises funds to create scholarships for students to attend college. The foundation was created by Jake's cousins Scott & Kirsten Hullinger in the memory of their daughter Elle who passed away in 2006. We decided to get together as a family and run the 5k to support their foundation. Their was an awesome turn out. It's especially amazing to be in the first 10 min. of your run & realize that people are already passing you on the way back. Ouch!

This is the part of my life I call "Running my first 5k."

I slapped this awesome sticker on Mark's Hullingers back at the end of the race. I can't help it if it's true. ;-)

Jayda did awesome on her first 5k.
