Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart. - Steve Jobs

Moving Time

After 21 years of living at home, 8 years of apartments, & 3 months of living with my parents as a married couple..........we finally bought a house.

My favorite part of the house was all the cleaning we got to do. Debbie & Jenny were awesome & came over to help me tackle the kitchen. It took nearly 3 days with their help to clean the refrigerator & the oven. Whahoo!

Seriously. This picture doesn't even justify how dirty it was. I'm so grateful for a mom that taught me how to clean.

Debbie & Jenny were awesome. They cleaned so hard for me. Thank you!
We had so much help on moving day. Thank you to everyone who helped us move! You guys are awesome. We will definitely repay the favor. Thank you for helping me keep my back in line. I can't believe I got through the move without any back problems. We couldn't have done it without you.

Whaz up!

As soon as we're set up, we're having a party to thank everyone for helping us move. I can't wait to use my kitchen. It's the first time I've ever been excited about cooking. (I wonder how long that will last)

Jake's cousin Allen Hullinger showed up to help us. In the back ground is our bedroom. I'm spoiled with a waterfall & a gas fireplace. I don't ever want to leave.

Even Rambo (aka Natalie) showed up to help us move.

Little Jon & Gelica had fun jumping on the couches & the bed.

We had 3 pregnant women helping us. Debbie, Desi, & Cheri who is about to pop anyday. They rocked it putting my kitchen together.

This big grin on my face is for the furniture that Jake bought me. We've been seperated for 8 long years & I finally feel like I'm whole. Whahoooooooooo!

New Years Eve

Welcom to New Years Eve. (Sorry about the pictures. I don't know how to turn them)

Dad beat mom in a tennis match while mom looked puzzled & gave her a head a scratch.

Mom fell down in a laughing fit.....

while Dad let Jake know he was the boxing sh......king.

Jake's cousin Devan came over to share in the spread

While Beezer took refuge on top of Dave's head.

First Experience with the Wii

Mike got the Wii for Christmas. He's skiing down a slope right now getting ready to go off the long jump. I wish you could really see the look on his face. It was priceless.

Check out Jake's awesome dance moves as he exercises on the Wii.

Jake took a jog on the Wii. You're supposed to hold the remote in your hand or in your pocket for it to measure your running. My boy is all about problem solving & finding short cuts.

Christmas

Jake & I stayed at his sister Natalie's house this year for Christmas. Little Jon must have been really good this year cuz we had a lot of fun watching Santa spoil him. He opened his pj's Christmas Eve and he said with absolute excitement "It's a blanket.............with sleeves!"

Jake & I had a super small Christmas. I think Jake only got on the naughty list twice in the last 8 years, so we're really hoping we've been good enough that Santa will belatedly bring us a house for Christmas.

Chipmunk

On Tuesday I went into the dentist for emergency work on a rootcanal I'd had completed over 10 years ago. It took them 3 hours to remove a post from my root that was infected. They sent me home with painkillers & antibiotics. Over the next 3 days, my face began to transform into chipmunk face. The infection & swelling spread into the roof of my mouth, my eye, my nasal cavity, my temple, & is now working it's way into my eyebrow. The whole left side of my face was hot with pain & felt like I had burning shards of glass floating in my cheek bone. I ended up at a specialist office to have my tooth drained & the root canal cleaned out. The pain was so intense that my legs were violently shaking & the dentist would have to stop every few minutes cuz I was sobbing so hard. Drama, drama, drama.

Here is a picture of my normal face.

Here is a picture of my infected face. My left eye eventually got so swollen, I could hardly see out of it.

My attempt at smiling. The muscles in the left side of my face were infected so they pretty much stopped working. I couldn't smile & I could hardly open my jaw.

Jake & his cousin Devan played games while I was down. They set up the table in the living room so that they could be with me & keep me company while I was sick.

Thanksgiving

Dave demonstrates a great way to burn off calories after Thanksgiving dinner.

Adam couldn't quite figure out how to ride the bucking bronco.

Looks like he found a smaller horse to ride.

Sara busted out all of dad's old High School books for the family to look at. This is a picture of her imitating the cheerleading pictures from dads yearbook.

Dad was determined to roast hotdogs out in the backyard. This idea was canceled after the wind notified dad that it is much stronger then his desire to have a hotdog roast in November. The solution was easily solved by the family having a roasting party in the living room fire place.

Mmmmm......fireplace roasted hotdogs.

Soups on!
